Trini Ginger Beer Recipe

INGREDIENTS

 

Fresh Ginger - 1 1/2 lb
Garlic - 2 cloves
Granulated Sugar - 1 to 1 1/4 cups
Zest & Juice of Lime - 2
Water

 

METHOD

  1. Wash, peel and thinly slice ginger and set aside.

  2. Thinly slice garlic and set aside.

  3. Zest & squeeze lime and set aside.

  4. Add ginger, garlic, lime zest & juice to water.

  5. Cover and let ferment for 24 hours.

  6. Strain & sweeten with sugar to desired sweetness.

  7. Serve & store chilled.
