Join Rhett Mc Carthy and Sandra Ward for a full day of Trinidad and Tobago food, culture, and adventure through the stunning North West coast of Trinidad, from Port of Spain to Maracas and Paramin, all in one epic day!

We kick things off at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain, exploring the historic Magnificent Seven buildings, before heading to the Maracas Lookout for a taste of Eden’s Sweet and Sour Hotspot, serving up local favorites like mango, pineapple, pomerac, pommecythere, and plum chow, and classic snacks such as tamarind balls.

Then it’s off to the iconic Maracas Beach for a bake and shark feast at Uncle Sam and Sons, one of Trinidad’s most famous beach eats. From there, the adventure continues to Paramin, where we enjoy rich cocoa tea with Aunty Julia, breathtaking views from La Vigie Paramin Lookout, and a quick stop to explore the Paramin Cave and shop for fresh green seasoning and roucou.

After a quick bite of Royal Castle fried chicken (with that legendary Trini pepper sauce), Rhett gives Sandra a taste of Trinidad Carnival at Ronnie and Caro Mas Camp. For a sweet evening treat, we grab a classic Trinidad snow cone back at the Savannah, followed by hearty corn soup, cow heel souse, and geera pork at Michelle’s Natural Delights on the Savannah food strip.

We end the night at Mac In Tosh Fruit Ah Salad for a delicious Trini punch, and wrap up with the unmistakable rhythm of Phase II Pan Groove, celebrating steelpan and Trinidad Carnival culture at its finest.

This vlog is your ultimate Trinidad travel guide, perfect for anyone visiting for Carnival or exploring Trinidad beyond the festival. From street food to scenic lookouts, this is the best way to experience authentic Trinidadian food and culture in one day!
