Eating Our Way Through DIVALI NAGAR 2023 in Chaguanas, Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹

It’s that special time of year, so of course we had to visit the Divali Nagar 2023 Celebration. This year, the theme is “Dharti Mata” (Mother Earth) in recognition of the climate change issues facing the world.

In its usual splendid form, the nagar boasts a wide array of family-friendly activities, from the many shopping stalls, sponsor booths, its extensive food strip and game stations, right up to the beautifully-decorated temple and adjoining main stage, there is surely something for everyone to enjoy!

We were invited to visit the Super Cow Milk booth (located by the main entrance), where we played games and sampled their creamy milk drink. Afterward, we visited the food court for pholourie, pepper roti, barfi cake, jilebi, chataigne nuggets, and more! Gizelle (Rhett’s mom) even did some shopping for her Diwali day outfit.

All in all, it was an incredible evening that everyone should experience. The 2023 Divali Nagar runs from November 3rd - 11th, be sure to visit!
