In Episode 4 of How To? Foodie Nation, this week were diving into a recipe straight from Tiffany’s childhood, her Granny’s Tannia Accra!


Never heard of it? You’re not alone! But once you try it, you’ll never forget it. Khary’s in the kitchen helping bring this crispy, golden, root-vegetable goodness to life, while Tiffany serves up the memories (and maybe a few songs along the way).

RECIPE

Yield : 16 Accra

You will need :

1lb Tania (grated)

1 tbsp Garlic (grated)

2 tbsp Pimento sauce (Recipe on Foodie Nation)

1 heaping tbsp Green seasoning

1 tbsp Flour

1⁄2 tsp Garlic powder

1⁄2 tsp Onion powder

Heaping 1⁄2 tsp salt

How to :

1. Peel Tania and grate into a bowl.

2. Add all seasonings

3. Mix with a fork, it will be a wet, paste like consistency.

4. Add flour and mix.

5. Spoon batter and shallow fry until edges get golden brown, flip and cook the other

side.

6. Drain and serve.
