Experience the true heartbeat of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival: The Pan Yard. 🇹🇹

In part one of our special Carnival series, we explore the world of steelpan music, uncovering how this national instrument tells a story of resilience, passion, and cultural identity. From late-night rehearsals to the electric energy of community limes, the pan yard captures the real spirit of Trinidad Carnival long before the road.

We also hear from a young pannist carrying the tradition forward, and learn how Punchy Punch, “the drink of Carnival,” has been part of the celebration from its early days, supporting our local culture and the sound that defines a nation.

This is more than music, it’s the soul of Carnival, the rhythm of our people, and the story of Trinidad and Tobago told through our oil drums.
