Rhett Mc Carthy takes a food-filled, fun-packed family road trip from Port of Spain to Icacos — the southernmost point of Trinidad and Tobago! 🇹🇹🌴

The adventure begins in Port of Spain, where the group boards a large maxi taxi, then makes a stop in Mount Lambert to pick up more passengers. With a bus packed full of delicious eats like tuna, cheese, and chicken sandwiches, coconut bake and saltfish, muffins, sweet bread, cupcakes, snacks, drinks, and more, they set off on their journey to South Trinidad.

Quick pit stops include Starbucks (Gulf View) and Vee Vault Restaurant in Cedros, before reaching the breathtaking Icacos Wetlands — home to mangroves, coconut trees, and stunning natural landscapes. Plenty of photos and sightseeing along the way!

Next up: swimming time! 🏖️ In the small town of Icacos, they visit Coral Point, a popular local spot for swimming and liming. Some take a dip in the water, while others relax on the shore. The group then continues to the scenic Columbus Bay, home to the iconic Three Sisters Rocks, for another swim and some exploration.

By lunchtime, it’s back to Vee Vault, where the group enjoys an epic feast: burgers, pasta, fish, lamb, steak, BBQ chicken, wings, cassava fries, sweet potato fries, and more. They also explore the beautiful countryside property — picking fresh mangoes, limes, and avocados straight from the trees.

Before heading back home, there’s one final stop at a local veggie mart to pick up fresh fruits, vegetables, and ground provisions. Supporting local vendors is a must!

This unforgettable Trinidad road trip was full of laughter, dancing, ole talk, and of course, plenty food. A perfect day of quality time with family and friends in sweet T&T.
